Nicholas R. Powell MS. Ed.
Nicholas R. Powell is the CEO and principal consultant of The Mind Game Consulting, where he uses applied performance psychology principles to provide individuals (athletes and non-athletes) with essential tools needed to achieve optimal performance. Powell uses his extensive background in track and field both as a coach and a competitor along with his own life experiences to change the mind set of individuals for the better. His focus is to challenge individual's view of their desired goals or performance, while helping to develop a plan and implementing strategies to maximize full potential; hence leaving his clients feeling more empowered.
The former track athlete and graduate of McKendree University is now an adjunct professor, and a high energy, dynamic international empowerment speaker. Nicholas is a member of Plus Factor Toastmasters Club and The Association of Applied Sport Psychology (AASP).
In the past 6yrs, Nicholas'; accomplishments have ranged from providing support to clients from; NCAA Championships, World Track and Field Championships, 2012 Olympic, and major competitions around the world. In his most recent projects, he was assigned as an independent consultant with the Jamaican Olympic Team at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympic and 2017 World Championships in London.
The Mind Game has provided support and presentations to athletes and groups around the US, Canada, The UK and the Caribbean; including The Bahamas, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, US Virgin Islands and Haiti, just to name a few.
